Stablecoin activity on Ethereum just hit a record.
Over 1 million unique wallets sent stablecoins last week, the highest weekly count ever.
That’s more than double the 2020–2024 average of 400,000 users.
Growth has been steady, up about 1.7% per week since August 2024.
When markets turn volatile, users move to stability.
Stablecoins are becoming the liquidity shelter, the digital equivalent of principal protection in a high-beta market.
In DeFi, they’re the settlement layer for perps, RWAs, and yield strategies.
And with every new product built on stable rails, more addresses spin up, more flows circulate, and more liquidity locks in.
Ethereum is capturing that momentum . . .
The preferred settlement venue for where yield meets safety. It’s where institutions park liquidity between rotations and where capital waits for clarity.
